Contrave on Keto part 2

Contrave on Keto part 2

Hey friends,

you might have read my post a while back about trying contrave on keto. I’ve mentioned many times that I do not have a gallbladder. I had it removed in my early 20s due to multiple gallstones causing me a lot of pain. Try as I might I have never been able to find much research on whether or not other people who have had their gallbladder removed have had a similar experience like I have had where so many foods just don’t process well in my body and I’m almost always in pain if I eat anything at all especially fatty foods. As you can imagine keto is especially challenging for me for that reason. It has been quite a journey of trial, error, research and expense to find what works for me so that I can maintain a healthy weight and not be in pain all the time. My conclusion: full on meals that are predominately fats never sit well with me, no matter how good they taste or how well I do on keto because of them. So I eat less! Fasting works well for me also. And most recently I’ve tried contrave again to help me with my urges to overeat or to drink alcohol and I’m happy to report that it is working great for me this time around however I ever kept it at 1 pill a day for weeks because of my fear of getting sick like last time. I still don’t know if my last experience was from food poisoning or from finally bumping up to 2 pills a day but it was so awful that I haven’t been able to risk finding out. So eventually I will start to increase my dosage, probably while fasting and I will report to you all what happens. I have noticed considerable reductions in cravings and also I don’t get the gratifying feelings when I drink and or eat so I’ve been less prone to turn to food and alcohol and I just go do something else which is pretty much always what I had wanted. My goal has always been for food to not be such a big issue for me. I don’t want to worry about it all the time. So contrave has been helping me with that. I’ve also started mostly plant based keto but that’s a whole other topic to discuss in my next blog post.
